Looking to have some fun with your kids and teach them something deeper about giving thanks at the same time? Want to expand your family's horizons? Then join InterAct Cleveland for the Thanksgiving Celebration! The event will be on Monday, November 24, at 7 pm at Notre Dame College's Christ the King Chapel (4545 College Road, South Euclid) Do something different this Thanksgiving season. Give your family an experience of learning, of sharing, and of a joyful celebration. Rev. Laury Larson, secretary to InterAct Cleveland's Board of Trustees says, "What better way to celebrate a national holiday than to reflect the religious diversity that characterizes our nation?" Spread the word of this event by downloading an event flyer. This celebration is an inter-religious, interactive, family friendly event where the meaning of hospitality in the Baha'i, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Quaker, Sikh, and Unitarian Universalist teachings will be explained by representatives from each of these traditions. You and your family will also be invited to share in various expressions of hospitality, to join in song, and to share your story of something you are particularly grateful for this year. Bob Kloos of Beacon Street Ministries; Noah Budin, a Jewish folk singer and musician; and Joy Bostic from the Department of Religious Studies at Case Western Reserve University, will be the featured guests. Bostic will be hosting a talk called "Taking Off Our Shoes." Light refreshments will be served after the celebration. |
