Want to be a part of something meaningful while making a deep, positive impact on those experiencing homelessness? Become a Homeless Stand Down (HSD) 2010 Volunteer Leader! This team of 15-25 dynamic Volunteer Leaders plan, organize and run the Homeless Stand Down.
HSD Volunteer Leader Time Commitment: August – December 2009: Monthly meeting (2 hr) with outside work January – March 2010: Monthly meeting plus leadership at HSD Volunteer Training, event set up, and event Join one of the HSD Volunteer Leader Teams: Food, Entertainment, Donations, Volunteers, Media/PR, HSD Advocates, Event Coordination, Transportation Tentative HSD 2010 Event Dates: Saturday January 23, Monday February 15, TBA Qualifications: · An interest and openness to religious diversity and community service · Committed and able to work collectively as a team · Love to work with people and make a difference in the community How to become a HSD Volunteer Leader · Check your schedule- is this something I am interested in and can commit to? · Review the HSD Volunteer Leader Teams · Attend the HSD Volunteer Leader Kick Off on Thursday August 27, 6-8PM @ InterAct |
