A revised mission of InterReligious Partners in Action of Greater Cleveland, known as InterAct Cleveland, was adopted in 2007:

InterReligious Partners in Action of Greater Cleveland (InterAct Cleveland) promotes mutual understanding and appreciation of diverse religious beliefs and practices, as well as discovery of the values and beliefs shared by many faith traditions. InterAct Cleveland members actively engage with one another to help shape positive responses to the challenges and opportunities facing Greater Cleveland, including religious diversity itself.

InterAct Cleveland's Core Values

Interreligious

InterAct Cleveland affirms the richness inherent in each member’s religious tradition and helps members nurture respect for one another.

Volunteer Based

The work of InterAct Cleveland is accomplished by volunteers — staff are partners in this enterprise.

Member Driven

InterAct Cleveland belongs to those who participate.  Member congregations and religious communities, as well as the community at large, identify, shape, and implement programs and services offered through InterAct Cleveland.

Personally Enriching

InterAct Cleveland helps people take action to change their lives and their community.  Everyone — volunteers, program participants, and staff — has opportunities for personal enrichment and change through their work with InterAct Cleveland.

Egalitarian

All participants are invited to use their gifts and talents through InterAct Cleveland in an environment of mutual respect and sharing.

Participatory

Members, staff, and program participants work together to plan programs and services offered through InterAct Cleveland.

Collaborative

Cooperation, partnership and collaboration with other organizations are fundamental to InterAct Cleveland’s success.
