I did not attend a training session, can I still join you?
Unfortunately, all our volunteers needed to attend a training session. There we discussed the philosophy of the event as well as the details in each job. It would be disrespectful to all our volunteers and the hours they gave if we make an exception. Plus it would be unfair to you if we tried to cram the information from a 2 hour session into a 10 min explanation.

with a subject of HSD 2009 and we will put you on our volunteer list for next year.
Can I do this again next year?
I hope you so! Please make sure to fill out an exit survey and mark that you want to be on our list for next year. Mark you calendars for February again next year and expect to hear from a member from InterAct around October.
Also, please join us for a potluck meal in March after the Stand Down for a re-gathering of volunteers and guests. We will discuss what happened at the Stand Down, what you liked, want to improve and above all what you received out of the Stand Down
Next year is to far away, how can I help now?
Well there are a few options.
Join as a leader to help plan next year’s event
Come volunteer for NEOCH, InterAct-Cleveland or with other care provider any time of the year.
And start planning a clothing drive now.
Many winter items are at discount prices after the season. Host a party with strict invite that to come in guests have to bring a winter gloves if they want to partake in your legendary cheese dip.
Join a knitting group and try to make 100 scarves before next Stand Down
Start collecting socks and underwear
