Fast Facts:
-  On February 1, 2008  the first day of the Stand Down helped over 700 guests wtih around 90 volunteers, and 47 care providers and services offered!   
-  The First Stand Down occured in 1988 in San Diego.  Today there are Stand Downs throughout the country.
- Cleveland was the first city to have a Stand Down that was for both veterans and civilians.
- Quick Numbers: 4,000 people are homeless every night, and in a full year, there are over 20,000 and this number is growing.  In Cleveland there are 2,800 beds available at the seven shelters. (However, this number will soon change do to shleters closing down)
- In 2008 InterAct has a goal to help 1,800 guests.  Or 600 people each day. (Numbers provided by NEOCH)
-InterAct Cleveland is partnered with Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless, the City of Cleveland, Catholic Charities Bishop Cosgrove Center, Louis Stokes Department of Veterans Affairs, 2100 Lakeside Shelter, Trinity Cathedral, Pilgrim Congregational Church, Cleveland/Cuyahoga County Office of Homeless Services, and Salvation Army.
